ON THE BORDER COVID-19 RESPONSE
As a company that prides itself on making everything better together, these times are not only unprecedented but also very challenging. While we miss you in our dining rooms, we are grateful to continue to serve you our Border-style food and drinks at your home or at key essential businesses. We want you to know we are very committed to helping our team members and guests stay safe and healthy and as such, wanted to detail for you our social distancing and safety measures.
We are following all local mandates and strongly encouraging our team members to wear face masks and gloves. While we are actively sourcing masks, we are not doing so at the expense of our health care workers, so we are providing instructions for DIY masks – easy to make, but still providing the coverage needed. Plus, we are limiting the number of team members and customers inside our restaurants nationwide.

What we are doing to protect our Guests
We continue to adhere to our thorough cleaning procedures in every restaurant, every day, disinfecting high-touch areas such as door handles and to-go areas, and ensuring all symptomatic Team Members remain at home to focus on their recovery and well-being.
An engaging To-Go Experience—even if we are keeping a distance:
We are developing and implementing technology solutions to provide the ability for guests to provide gratuities online so there will be no need to use pens or even touch paper. If there is ever the need to use a pen, we are disinfecting them after every use.
Should a guest need to enter a restaurant, we are also outlining our floors with markers to indicate the minimum distance between guests and limiting the number of guests that may enter to keep everyone safe.
Still bringing a delicious food fiesta to you – but with Contactless Delivery:
We will be directing all third-party delivery drivers to our front doors to separate them from our guests and team members.
Our Catering team members are also bringing individually boxed options and pre-packaged alcoholic beverages, delivering at your doorstep. We are cleaning and sanitizing all equipment both before and after each event, including our Catering vans and vehicles.
What we are doing to protect and support our Team Members
On The Border is committed to the safety of our Team Members. We are encouraging our Team members to wear masks while working and as soon as we can purchase masks to every employee, we will do so. We will also be providing every location with thermometers and a pre-shift questionnaire to ensure they are healthy and symptom-free and are working safely to serve our guests.
Please know, we will continue to help our amigos and the communities we serve by taking the necessary steps to keep us protected, with increased safety measures and operational changes.
